UroAndrologo ospedaliero, responsabile del primo Servizio Pubblico in Italia di Medicina dello Stile di Vita in UroAndrologia dell’ASL Salerno, esperto in Patologia Ambientale, Cofondatore della Società Europea di Medicina dello Stile di Vita con sede a Ginevra, di cui cura l'area UroAndrologica.
Da diversi anni il suo interesse è focalizzato sulla prevenzione della infertilità maschile, curando, in particolare, gli aspetti ambientali, alimentari e dello stile di vita. Ideatore e Coordinatore del Progetto di Ricerca EcoFoodFertility, (www.ecofoodfertility.it), uno studio multidisciplinare e multicentrico indipendente su scala europea che introduce un nuovo modello per la valutazione dell'impatto ambientale sulla salute umana per la prevenzione primaria delle popolazioni nelle aree a rischio, partendo dalla valutazione del liquido seminale quale precoce e sensibile marker di Salute Ambientale e Generale (Seme Sentinella). Ha all'attivo diverse pubblicazioni, alcuni capitoli di libri su riviste nazionali ed internazionali, numerose relazioni e keynote speaker in congressi nazionali ed internazionali con diversi premi e riconoscimenti, collabora per le ricerche sul rapporto Ambiente-Salute con diversi ricercatori del CNR, ISS, Università e centri di ricerche non solo italiani.

E’ co-fondatore dei Centri di Medicina Integrata della Riproduzione in Italia (MIR), il cui obiettivo è traslare i dati validati provenienti dalla ricerca clinica più recente nella pratica medica corrente, al fine di fornire i più moderni ed innovativi sistemi diagnostici per cure ed assistenza sempre più personalizzate in una visione di “One Health”.
E’ coordinatore della Rete Nazionale EcoFoodFertility, Rete per la Salvaguardia della Salute Ambientale nelle aree a rischio d'Italia (R.E.S.A.R.), una rete di ricercatori appartenenti a diverse discipline che collaborano al progetto nelle sue diverse articolazioni in campo non solo medico-scientifico. Ha all’attivo il coordinamento di diversi progetti su scala regionale e nazionale sul rapporto Ambiente/Salute ed in particolare un progetto multicentrico finanziato dal Ministero della Salute per la prevenzione dell'infertilità maschile nelle aree a forte pressione ambientale.

In linea generale, l’indirizzo dell'attività medico-scientifica è volto a proiettare la Fertilità in una dimensione di più ampia portata per la salvaguardia della Salute Pubblica, considerando la stessa come fondamentale Presidio di Prevenzione, non solo per le patologie riproduttive, ma anche per quelle cronico-degenerative dell'adulto e a difesa delle generazioni future.
