Dear friends, as coordinator of the special interest group that deals with the collaborations between SIRU and other national and international scientific societies, on behalf of all members of the SIG and of SIRU as a whole, I extend a warm welcome to all participants in this meeting.
The program is focuses on some of the issues that we all deal with every day in our practice. The first topic concerns the evaluation of the uterine cavity through diagnostic hysteroscopy, still often considered unnecessary as a first-line examination in infertile women and subordinated to ultrasound. The second is about PCOS and infertility, very often underestimated or overtreated, with its ovarian, systemic and metabolic aspects that lead to great individual variability and that often escapes the even well-defined guidelines. The third topic will consider the impact that pollution, nutrition and lifestyle habits have on fertility in different countries and populations. The fourth lecture will consider the quality of the relationship between practitioners and infertile patients which can generate great trust but also frequent drop-out due to superficiality or lack of clarity and empathy.
All the participants in the Webinar, speakers, moderators and discussants, who honor us and whom we thank for their presence, will guide us, with their recognized expertise, through the various topics that may later constitute the goal of multicentric studies.
We are waiting for you!
